We are delighted to share that the protocol for The DAPPLE Study has just been published in BMJ Open. You can read the protocol here.

So, what does this mean? Essentially, the protocol is the blueprint for DAPPLE: it’s the roadmap that guides us through every step of the research process. The protocol includes key information about:

  • Objectives: What we’re aiming to achieve

  • Methods: How we’re conducting the study

  • Procedures: The specific steps we’ll take throughout the project

This protocol is a major milestone for the DAPPLE team, giving a clear direction for the study and helping us stay on track as we work towards improving palliative and end of life care for people with a learning disability.

We realise that there is a lot of technical detail and complicated research language in the protocol. But don’t worry, there are other ways that you can find out what we are doing on the DAPPLE Project!  Have a look at our:

Or you can watch our Information Video!
