8. Judgement's Rage - Music Video

Sunny Sokhal

Hello, I’m Sunny Sokhal. I have started my new job as a Research Assistant on the DAPPLE project. I want to share my rap with you. I wrote it about having a learning disability.

Music video for 'Judgement's Rage'

'Judgement's Rage'

Yo, lemme tell you 'bout the struggle I face

Learning disability, slowing down the pace But my mind is sharp, my spirit's strong

Fightin' everyday, where do I belong? Judgement's rage, burnin' in my soul

Disgrace to society, that's their cruel role

But I rise above, breakin' through the chains

Proving them wrong, washin' away the stains

I wish I had a good job, a steady pay But opportunities seem so far away

People quick to judge, they don't understand

The fire within, the power in my hand

Judgement's rage, burnin' in my soul

Disgrace to society, that's their cruel role

But I rise above, breakin' through the chains

Proving them wrong, washin' away the stains

It's not fair, the way they look at me

Like I'm less than human, can't they see?

I got dreams, aspirations just like everyone else I'm here to conquer, put the hate on the shelf

Judgement's rage, burnin' in my soul

Disgrace to society, that's their cruel role

But I rise above, breakin' through the chains

Proving them wrong, washin' away the stains

Learning disability, ain't my identity

I'm a warrior fighting for my liberty So next time you judge, remember my face I'm breakin' barriers, leavin' my trace
